The SC Preferred 5 Shelf Standard Duty Boltless Shelving Starter with wire decking is designed to maximize storage space with a maximum storage weight of 1000 lbs. per level. It is durable and adaptable for retail, industrial, and commercial spaces, featuring open shelves adjustable at 1" increments. The kit includes rugged 2" x 1", 14 gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers and double riveted horizontal beams that lock perimeter beams into corner posts to form a structurally secure joint, eliminating back and side sway. The open design allows four side access and the wire decking ships in two pieces, providing ventilation, visibility, light penetration, and allowing sprinkler water to pass throughout the racks easily, enhancing fire safety. The shelving system is finished with a chip-resistant gray baked enamel and requires no bolts, nuts, or clips for assembly, using snap-in components instead. Sturdy roll-formed steel framing ensures maximum support, and front-to-back supports prevent beam rotation when fully loaded.
