The SC Preferred 5 shelf heavy duty boltless shelving starter with wire decking is designed for retail, commercial, and industrial storage applications, accommodating a maximum storage weight of 1400 lbs. per level. The shelving system features durable, adaptable open shelves that are adjustable in 1" increments to maximize storage flexibility and area usage. The kit includes rugged 2" x 1" 14 GA steel uprights punched on 1" centers, double riveted horizontal beams that lock into corner posts with double rivet button stud construction to form secure joints, and wire mesh decking shipped in two pieces. The roll-formed steel framing provides maximum support with front-to-back supports to prevent beam rotation when fully loaded, while the open design allows four side access. The wire decking enhances ventilation, visibility, light penetration, and sprinkler water passage for improved fire safety. The entire shelving unit has a chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish and assembles easily with snap-in components without the need for bolts, nuts, or clips.
