The kit includes rugged 14 gauge steel T posts punched on 1" centers and double riveted horizontal beams that adjust vertically at 1" increments. The open shelves are adjustable in 1" increments and feature a chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish. The wire mesh decking, which ships in two pieces, allows ventilation, visibility, and light penetration while enabling sprinkler water to pass through easily, enhancing fire safety. The shelving system uses sturdy roll-formed steel framing with front-to-back supports to prevent beam rotation under load; double rivet button stud construction locks perimeter beams into corner posts, eliminating back and side sway.
