The kit includes rugged 2" x 1" 14 gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers, double-riveted horizontal beams that lock into the corner posts using double rivet button stud construction for structural security, and stain-resistant, easy-to-clean 1/2" thick white laminated melamine surface decking with pre-cut square edging; the particle board ships in two pieces. The shelving is constructed from sturdy roll-formed steel framing with a chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish. Its open design provides four-side access for maximum flexibility, and the assembly is easy with snap-in components requiring no bolts, nuts, or clips.
