The SC Preferred 5 shelf heavy duty boltless shelving starter with laminate decking is designed to maximize storage areas in retail, commercial, and industrial spaces, with a maximum storage weight of 1200 lbs per level. This durable and adaptable shelving features open shelves that are adjustable at 1" increments and provides four-side access for maximum flexibility. The kit includes rugged 2" x 1" 14 gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers and double riveted horizontal beams that adjust vertically in 1" increments. The sturdy roll-formed steel framing with front-to-back supports prevents beam rotation when fully loaded, while the double rivet button stud construction locks perimeter beams into corner posts to form structurally secure joints, eliminating back and side sway. The shelving has a chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish and includes stain-resistant, easy-to-clean melamine surface decking measuring 1/2" thick with pre-cut square edging in white laminate. Assembly is easy and requires no bolts, nuts, or clips; snap-in components enable quick setup. The particle board ships in two pieces.
