The SC Preferred™ 5 Shelf standard duty boltless shelving add-on with laminate decking is designed to maximize storage space with a max storage weight of 1000 lbs. per level. It is suitable for retail, commercial, and industrial applications and features durable, adaptable storage with open shelves that are adjustable at 1" increments. The unit measures 1/2" thick with pre-cut square edging, featuring a stain resistant, easy-to-clean melamine surface in white laminated particle board that ships in two pieces. The shelving has a chip resistant gray baked enamel finish on the sturdy roll-formed steel framing that provides maximum support, including front-to-back supports to prevent beam rotation under full load. The double rivet button stud construction locks perimeter beams into corner posts to form structurally secure joints, eliminating back and side sway. The rugged 14 ga steel T posts are punched on 1" centers, and the double riveted horizontal beams adjust vertically at 1" increments. Assembly is easy with snap-in components requiring no bolts, nuts, or clips, allowing for expansion by joining units with more stability and less construction compared to bolting two starter units together.
