The SC Preferred™ 5 Shelf Standard Duty Boltless Shelving starter with laminate decking is designed to maximize storage areas in retail, commercial, and industrial spaces with a maximum storage weight of 1000 lbs. per level. The kit includes rugged 2" x 1" 14 gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers and double riveted horizontal beams that are adjustable vertically at 1" increments. The open shelves have a 1/2" thick stain-resistant, easy-to-clean melamine surface with pre-cut square edging, finished in white laminated particle board that ships in two pieces. The shelving features sturdy roll-formed steel framing, front-to-back supports to prevent beam rotation when fully loaded, and double rivet button stud construction that locks perimeter beams into corner posts, creating a structurally secure joint that eliminates back and side sway. The chip-resistant, gray baked enamel finish provides durability, while the snap-in components allow easy assembly without the need for bolts, nuts, or clips. The open design gives four-side access for maximum flexibility.
