The SC Preferred 5 shelf boltless shelving add-on with wire shelving is designed for durable and adaptable storage in retail, industrial, and commercial spaces, featuring various heights, widths, and depths to fit nearly any area. The open shelves are adjustable at 1" increments, allowing easy customization, and the assembly requires no bolts, nuts, or clips as it uses snap-in components. The open design provides four-side access for maximum flexibility, and expansion is facilitated by joining units with more stability and less construction compared to bolting two starter units together. The kit includes rugged 14 gauge steel T posts punched on 1" centers, double riveted horizontal beams on the top and bottom shelves, single rivet horizontal beams on the center shelf, and wire decking for ventilation, visibility, and light penetration. The sturdy roll-formed steel framing offers maximum support, while the top and bottom shelves use double rivet button stud construction to lock perimeter beams into corner posts, creating a structurally secure joint that eliminates back and side sway. The chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish enhances durability, and the wire decking design allows sprinkler water to pass throughout the racks, improving fire safety and potentially lowering insurance premiums.
