The SC Preferred™ 5 Shelf commercial duty boltless shelving add-on with laminate decking is designed to maximize storage in retail, commercial, and industrial spaces with various heights, widths, and depths to fit nearly any facility area. The open design allows four-sided access for maximum flexibility, while snap-in components enable easy assembly without the need for bolts, nuts, or clips. This add-on unit includes rugged 14 gauge steel T posts punched at 1" centers, double-riveted horizontal beams for the top and bottom shelves, and single-rivet horizontal beams for the center shelf, all adjustable vertically at 1" increments. The top and bottom shelves use double rivet button stud construction to lock perimeter beams into corner posts, forming a structurally secure joint that eliminates back and side sway, while the center shelf uses single rivet beams. The shelves feature a chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish coupled with stain-resistant, easy-to-clean melamine surface decking that is 1/2" thick with pre-cut square edging. The sturdy roll-formed steel framing provides maximum support and expandable units join with more stability and less construction than bolting two starter units together.
