The SC Preferred 5 shelf, standard duty boltless shelving starter with wire decking is designed to maximize storage space with a maximum storage weight of 1000 lbs. per level. It features durable and adaptable storage suitable for retail, industrial, and commercial spaces, with open shelves that are adjustable at 1" increments. The kit includes rugged 2" x 1" 14 gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers and double riveted horizontal beams that lock perimeter beams into corner posts for a structurally secure joint, preventing back and side sway. Sturdy roll-formed steel framing provides maximum support, with front-to-back supports that help prevent beam rotation when fully loaded. The open design allows four-side access, providing maximum flexibility, and the wire decking allows ventilation, visibility, and light penetration, facilitating sprinkler water flow for improved fire safety. The chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish enhances durability. Assembly is easy, requiring no bolts, nuts, or clips, as snap-in components are used. Particle board ships in two pieces.
