The SC Preferred™ 5 Shelf standard duty boltless shelving starter with wire decking is designed for retail, industrial, and commercial storage needs, supporting a maximum storage weight of 1000 lbs. per level. It features durable roll-formed steel framing with front-to-back supports to prevent beam rotation when fully loaded and double rivet button stud construction that locks perimeter beams into corner posts, forming a structurally secure joint that eliminates back and side sway. The kit includes rugged 2" x 1", 14 gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers and double riveted horizontal beams that are adjustable vertically at 1" increments. The open shelves are adjustable at 1" increments, providing flexible storage space. The assembly is easy and requires no bolts, nuts, or clips, utilizing snap-in components. The wire decking included allows for ventilation, visibility, and light penetration, and permits sprinkler water to pass through easily, enhancing fire safety. The shelving has a chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish, and the particle board ships in two pieces.
