The SC Preferred™ 5 shelf heavy duty boltless shelving starter with wire decking is designed for retail, commercial, and industrial applications to maximize storage capacity with a maximum storage weight of 1200 lbs. per level. The kit includes rugged 2" x 1" 14 gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers and double riveted horizontal beams adjustable at 1" increments, providing sturdy roll-formed steel framing with front-to-back supports to prevent beam rotation under full load. The open shelves are adjustable in 1" increments, and the wire decking allows ventilation, visibility, light penetration, and sprinkler water flow for improved fire safety. The structure features a chip resistant gray baked enamel finish and uses double rivet button stud construction to lock perimeter beams into corner posts, forming a secure joint that eliminates back and side sway. The design allows four-sided access and easy assembly with snap-in components, requiring no bolts, nuts, or clips. Particle board ships in two pieces.
