The SC Preferred™ 2 shelf, standard duty boltless shelving add-on with wire decking is designed to maximize storage capacity with a maximum storage weight of 1000 lbs. per level. Made from sturdy roll-formed steel framing with a chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish, the shelving features rugged 14 gauge steel T posts punched on 1" centers and double riveted horizontal beams that adjust vertically in 1" increments. Its open design allows four-side access for maximum flexibility and ventilation, visibility, and light penetration through the wire decking, which also facilitates sprinkler water flow for improved fire safety and insurance compliance. The shelving system is adaptable for retail, industrial, and commercial spaces, with open shelves that are adjustable at 1" increments. It includes front-to-back supports to prevent beam rotation when fully loaded and uses double rivet button stud construction to lock perimeter beams into corner posts, forming a structurally secure joint that eliminates back and side sway. Assembly is easy and requires no bolts, nuts, or clips, relying on snap-in components that enable stable joining of units and expansion without bolting two starter units together. The package includes particle board which ships in two pieces.
