The SC Preferred™ 5 shelf, heavy duty boltless shelving starter with wire decking is designed for retail, commercial, and industrial storage, supporting a maximum storage weight of 1200 lbs. per level. The kit includes rugged 2" x 1" 14 gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers and double riveted horizontal beams that adjust vertically in 1" increments. The open shelves are adjustable at 1" increments, providing adaptable storage with four side access for maximum flexibility. The frame is constructed from sturdy roll-formed steel with front-to-back supports to prevent beam rotation under full load, and double rivet button stud construction locks perimeter beams into corner posts to form a structurally secure joint that eliminates back and side sway. The wire decking allows ventilation, visibility, light penetration, and sprinkler water passage for improved fire safety and insurance benefits. The unit features a chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish and offers easy assembly with snap-in components, requiring no bolts, nuts, or clips. The particle board ships in two pieces.
