The SC Preferred™ 5 shelf heavy duty boltless shelving starter with wire decking is designed to maximize storage area with a maximum storage weight of 1400 lbs. per level. It features durable and adaptable storage suitable for retail, industrial, and commercial spaces, with open shelves adjustable at 1" increments. The kit includes rugged 2" x 1" 14 GA steel uprights punched on 1" centers and double riveted horizontal beams that lock perimeter beams into corner posts using double rivet button stud construction, forming a structurally secure joint that eliminates back and side sway. The open design allows four-side access, providing maximum flexibility, while front-to-back supports help prevent beam rotation when fully loaded. The wire decking allows ventilation, visibility, and light penetration, enabling sprinkler water to pass throughout racks easily, improving fire safety. The finish is chip-resistant gray baked enamel. Assembly is easy with snap-in components requiring no bolts, nuts, or clips. Particle board ships in two pieces.
