The SC Preferred™ 2 shelf heavy duty boltless shelving add-on with wood decking is designed to maximize storage area in retail, commercial, and industrial spaces, with various heights, widths, and depths available to fit nearly any facility layout. Each shelf supports a maximum storage weight of 1500 lbs. per level and features adjustable open shelves that can be modified in 1" increments. The shelving unit offers an open design with four-side access for maximum flexibility and easy assembly with snap-in components—no bolts, nuts, or clips are required. Expansion is simplified by joining add-on units for increased stability with less construction than bolting two starter units together. The structure is made from sturdy roll-formed 14 gauge steel framing, including T posts punched on 1" centers and double-riveted horizontal beams, which lock perimeter beams into corner posts to form secure joints that prevent back and side sway. Front-to-back supports prevent beam rotation under full load. The chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish enhances durability, while the sturdy, smooth precut 5/8" thick particleboard provides cost-effective solid decking.
