The SC Preferred 5 shelf, standard duty boltless shelving starter with wood decking is designed to maximize storage area with a max storage weight of 1000 lbs. per level, suitable for retail, industrial, and commercial spaces. The unit features durable roll-formed steel framing with 2" x 1-1/2" 14 gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers, double riveted horizontal beams that adjust vertically at 1" increments, and front-to-back supports to prevent beam rotation under full load. The double rivet button stud construction locks perimeter beams into corner posts, creating a structurally secure joint that eliminates back and side sway. Open shelves are adjustable in 1" increments, providing flexibility and access from all four sides. The package includes rugged uprights and horizontal beams with a chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish, as well as sturdy, smooth precut 5/8" thick particleboard decking that ships in two pieces. Assembly is easy with snap-in components requiring no bolts, nuts, or clips.
