The SC Preferred 5 shelf heavy duty boltless shelving starter with wire decking is designed to maximize storage with a maximum weight capacity of 1200 lbs. per level, suitable for retail, industrial, and commercial spaces. The open shelves are adjustable in 1" increments for versatile storage options, and the unit features a durable, chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish on sturdy roll-formed steel framing. The shelving allows four-side access for flexibility and includes snap-in components making assembly easy without the need for bolts, nuts, or clips. Each starter unit comes with rugged 2" x 1" 14 gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers and double-riveted horizontal beams that lock into the corner posts with double rivet button stud construction, eliminating back and side sway and preventing beam rotation under load. The wire decking promotes ventilation, visibility, and light penetration, facilitating sprinkler water passage for improved fire safety. The particle board ships in two pieces.
