The SC Preferred 5 shelf heavy duty boltless shelving starter with laminate deck is designed to maximize storage areas in retail, industrial, and commercial spaces, supporting a maximum storage weight of 1200 lbs. per level. The open shelves are adjustable at 1" increments and provide four-side access for maximum flexibility. The unit features sturdy roll-formed steel framing with 2" x 1-1/2" 14 gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers and double riveted horizontal beams that lock perimeter beams into the corner post, creating a structurally secure joint that eliminates back and side sway. Front-to-back supports prevent beam rotation when fully loaded. The assembly is easy, requiring no bolts, nuts, or clips, as it uses snap-in components. The shelving has a chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish with stain-resistant, easy-to-clean white laminated melamine surface decking that measures 1/2" thick with pre-cut square edging. The particle board ships in two pieces.
