The SC Preferred 5 shelf, standard duty boltless shelving starter with laminate deck is designed to maximize storage areas in retail, commercial, and industrial applications. The kit includes a starter unit with rugged 2" x 1-1/2" 14 gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers, and double riveted horizontal beams that adjust vertically at 1" increments, forming a structurally secure joint to eliminate back and side sway. The shelving supports a maximum storage weight of 1000 lbs. per level and features open shelves that are adjustable in 1" increments for adaptability. Its sturdy roll-formed steel framing provides maximum support and prevents beam rotation when fully loaded. The laminate deck measures 1/2" thick with a stain-resistant, easy-to-clean melamine surface, chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish, and pre-cut square edging in white laminated particle board, which ships in two pieces. The design allows four-side access for maximum flexibility and offers easy assembly with snap-in components, requiring no bolts, nuts, or clips.
