The ACTIV8X® portable wire feeder is a semiautomatic device designed to enhance shipbuilding, offshore, or construction operations. This compact unit is small enough to maneuver through manways and lightweight for easy transportation around the job site. The wire feeder is equipped with CrossLinc technology, enabling remote control of the power source without the need for control cables, and incorporates True Voltage Technology™ (TVT™), which maintains the voltage set at the arc even when positioned hundreds of feet from the power source. It features an impact-resistant, flame-retardant case that ensures rugged durability under tough conditions, along with potted PC boards for moisture and corrosion protection. The MaxTrac® wire drive system utilizes a heavy-duty cast aluminum construction for reliable feeding and durability, while the tachometer feedback provides accurate wire feed speed. The unit is the lightest construction feeder on the market and accepts wire spools up to 8 in. (203 mm) in diameter. Additional features include a Tweco style input connector. The kit includes the ACTIV8X® portable wire feeder with a Tweco style power connector.
