The kit is designed for rugged and reliable engineering, featuring consistent feeding over long conduit runs that can handle large-diameter wires, accommodating up to 3/32 in. (2.4 mm) solid or .120 in. (3.2 mm) cored wire, surpassing the competition's 5/64-in. capacity. It includes gun adapters that provide superior electrical connections, reducing voltage drops and simplifying connections. The wire drive circuit board is encapsulated for maximum protection from the elements, and a built-in contactor ensures that only one wire is hot at a time. For advanced process control, the system features a digital preset for voltage and wire feed speed, with the ability to save repeated procedures in up to four user memories and set process limits that are passcode secured. The display shows actual voltage and current while welding. Safety features include a dual wire drive model that can be ordered with a Power Path™ contactor, electrically isolating the non-active wire drive and gun, and a wire retract function that physically retracts the wire into the nozzle to prevent operator injury. The advanced Maxtrac® wire drive design consists of a rugged cast aluminum feed plate that protects wire and ensures consistent feeding, patented tool-less drive rolls for quick adjustments and maintenance, and patented tool-less split wire guides that prevent birdnesting. The modular design allows for flexibility in configurations for single, dual, bench, or boom setups, with two available wire reel stands for standard (up to 44-lb. spools) or heavy duty (up to 60-lb. coils or spools).
