The military smooth switchboard is designed to protect workers in high voltage areas and meets the strict military specification standard MIL-DTL-15562G. It features a Type II PVC runner with a dielectric strength that does not fail below 30,000 volts as tested per MIL-DTL-15562G. The floor covering is 1/8" thick, non-conductive, and available in 36" x 75' rolls. It has passed numerous standards and testing protocols, including a voltage test at a minimum of 15,000V for 1 minute, dielectric strength test at a minimum of 30,000V, visual and dimensional examination per MIL-STD-407, tensile strength per ASTM D412 die C of 1900psi exceeding the minimum 800psi, ultimate elongation of 230% surpassing the minimum 100%, hardness per ASTM D2440 at Shore A 80 above the minimum 75, critical radiant flux per ASTM E648 at 0.81 W/cm² above the minimum 0.45 W/cm², smoke density per ASTM E662 at 400 below the maximum 450, dimensional stability per ASTM D1204 at 0.0771 in/ft within the +/- 0.020 in/ft requirement, and color compliance with FED-STD-595. Cleaning instructions recommend scrubbing with a deck brush when needed, using detergent with a neutral pH, rinsing with a hose or pressure washer, laying the mat flat or hanging to dry, and ensuring the mat is dry before placing it back in service.
