The Diamond Plate Switchboard is designed to protect workers from electrical shock by providing insulation against high voltage. It is Type II, Class 2, meeting additional testing requirements for flame, oil, and ozone resistance, and conforms to ASTM D-178-01 testing standards. The material has a tested dielectric strength of 30,000 volts with a maximum use voltage of 17,000 volts. The product is 1/4" thick and available in 36" x 75' rolls. It passes several rigorous tests including the electrical proof test ASTM D178 with a minimum 20,000 V for one minute, dielectric breakdown test ASTM D149 with a minimum of 30,000 V, O3 resistance test method B ASTM D178 with no visual degradation, tensile strength ASTM D412 Die C at 1,318 psi (minimum 700 psi required), elongation ASTM D412 Die C at 317% (minimum 250% required), tension set ASTM D412 Die B at 0.4827 in. (maximum 0.50 in.), moisture absorption ASTM D570 at 0.09% (maximum increase 3%), accelerated aging ASTM D573 with tensile strength of 1,363 psi (103% of original tensile strength, minimum 50% required), flame resistance ASTM D178 appendix at 0.12 mm/s (maximum 0.5 in./12.7 mm after 30 seconds), and oil resistance ASTM D471 at 0.04% volume increase (maximum 4%). Cleaning instructions include scrubbing with a deck brush when needed, using detergent with a neutral pH, rinsing with a hose or pressure washer, laying the mat flat or hanging it to dry, and ensuring it is completely dry before returning it to service.
