EXAIR's® chip shields are made of durable polycarbonate and are designed to protect operators from flying debris commonly associated with blowing chips off machined parts. These chip shields also help minimize coolant or liquids from splashing during drying operations. They contribute to meeting the requirements of OSHA 1910.242(b) for the safe use of compressed air. Chip shields can be used with safety air guns that have aluminum extensions or without extensions but are not compatible with guns that use a Stay Set hose.
