EXAIR's® chip shields are made of durable polycarbonate and are designed to protect operators from flying debris typically generated when blowing chips off machined parts. These shields also help reduce coolant or liquid splashing during drying processes. They comply with OSHA 1910.242(b) requirements for the safe use of compressed air and are compatible with safety air guns that have or do not have aluminum extensions. However, chip shields are not suitable for use on guns equipped with a Stay Set hose. The product package includes the chip shield itself, and the design dimensions and specifications ensure effective protection while maintaining operational efficiency.
