The 36"W x 12"D x 96"H SC Preferred® commercial-duty boltless shelving starter unit is constructed from durable roll-formed steel with a chip-resistant gray enamel finish, designed to provide a practical and space-saving storage solution. This 5-shelf unit features a boltless design that assembles easily without the use of nuts, bolts, or clips, ensuring quick and hassle-free installation. The heavy-duty frame includes 14-gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers, double rivet beams on the top and bottom levels for added stability, and single rivet beams on the middle shelf for reliable support. Rivet button stud construction securely locks the perimeter beams into the corner posts, forming a stable joint to eliminate back and side sway. Each adjustable shelf is fitted with DuraDeck decking, which provides a smooth, non-porous surface that wipes clean easily, making it suitable for healthcare and food service applications. Shelves adjust in 1" increments and each level supports up to 400 lbs. when the load is evenly distributed. The open design allows four-sided access to stored items for maximum flexibility, and the unit can be extended with add-on shelving units for additional storage space.
