The 48"W x 12"D x 96"H SC Preferred™ commercial-duty boltless shelving starter unit is constructed from durable roll-formed steel with a chip-resistant gray enamel finish and features a boltless design for quick assembly without the use of nuts, bolts, or clips. The heavy-duty frame is made of 14-gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers, with double rivet beams on the top and bottom shelves for added stability and single rivet beams on the middle shelf for reliable support. Rivet button stud construction securely locks the perimeter beams into the corner posts, creating a stable joint that helps eliminate back and side sway. This unit includes five adjustable shelves fitted with DuraDeck decking, providing a smooth, non-porous surface that wipes clean easily, suitable for healthcare and food service applications. Shelves support up to 300 lbs. per level when evenly distributed, adjust in 1" increments, and allow four-sided access to stored items for maximum flexibility. The shelving system can be extended with add-on units for additional storage space, and the pre-sized panels facilitate seamless installation.
