The 48"W x 18"D x 96"H SC Preferred® commercial-duty boltless shelving starter unit is constructed from durable roll-formed steel with a chip-resistant gray enamel finish and features a 5-shelf design with boltless assembly for quick and easy setup without the use of nuts, bolts, or clips. The heavy-duty frame includes 14-gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers, double rivet beams on the top and bottom levels, and single rivet beams on the middle shelf for added stability. Rivet button stud construction securely locks perimeter beams into the corner posts, forming a stable joint that prevents back and side sway. Each adjustable shelf includes DuraDeck decking, a smooth, non-porous surface that wipes clean easily, making it suitable for healthcare and food service applications. Shelves support up to 300 lbs. per level with even load distribution and adjust in 1" increments. The open design provides four-sided access to stored items for maximum flexibility, and the unit can be extended with add-on units for additional storage space.
