The 48"W x 24"D x 72"H SC Preferred® commercial-duty boltless shelving starter unit is constructed from durable roll-formed steel with a chip-resistant gray enamel finish and features a 5-shelf design with boltless assembly requiring no nuts, bolts, or clips. The heavy-duty frame includes 14-gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers, with double rivet beams on the top and bottom levels and single rivet beams on the middle shelf for added stability and reliable support. Rivet button stud construction securely locks perimeter beams into corner posts, forming stable joints that reduce back and side sway. Each adjustable shelf is equipped with DuraDeck decking, providing a smooth, non-porous surface that is easy to clean, suitable for healthcare and food service environments. Shelves support up to 300 lbs. per level when evenly distributed and adjust in 1" increments. The open design allows four-sided access for maximum flexibility, pre-sized panels enable seamless installation, and the unit can be extended with add-on units for additional storage space.
