The 48"W x 12"D x 72"H SC Preferred® commercial-duty boltless shelving starter unit is constructed from durable roll-formed steel with a chip-resistant gray enamel finish, featuring a boltless design that allows for easy assembly without the use of nuts, bolts, or clips. Its heavy-duty frame includes 14-gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers, double rivet beams on the top and bottom levels, and single rivet beams on the middle shelf for added stability and reliable support. The rivet button stud construction securely locks perimeter beams into the corner posts, creating a stable joint that reduces back and side sway. The unit offers four-sided access to stored items and includes three adjustable shelves fitted with DuraDeck decking, a smooth, non-porous surface that is easy to clean and suitable for healthcare and food service applications. Shelves adjust in 1" increments, support up to 300 lbs. per level when evenly distributed, and the open design allows extension with add-on units for additional storage space.
