The 48"W x 18"D x 84"H SC Preferred™ commercial-duty boltless shelving starter unit is constructed from durable roll-formed steel with a chip-resistant gray enamel finish and features a boltless design for quick assembly without the use of nuts, bolts, or clips. This starter unit includes four adjustable shelves supported by a heavy-duty frame of 14-gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers, with double rivet beams on the top and bottom levels for added stability and single rivet beams on the middle shelf for reliable support. The rivet button stud construction securely locks perimeter beams into the corner posts to form a stable joint, reducing back and side sway. Each shelf is fitted with smooth, non-porous DuraDeck decking for easy cleaning, making it suitable for healthcare and food service applications. The shelving supports up to 300 lbs. per level when evenly distributed, with shelves adjustable in 1" increments and pre-sized panels for seamless installation. Its open design allows four-sided access to stored items for maximum flexibility and it can be extended with add-on units for additional storage.
