The 48"W x 18"D x 72"H SC Preferred® standard-duty boltless shelving add-on unit is designed to expand existing storage systems with practicality and space efficiency. It connects to standard-duty boltless starter kits using a T-post configuration to create a continuous shelving system across multiple units. Constructed from durable roll-formed steel with a chip-resistant gray enamel finish, this 4-shelf unit features a boltless design that assembles easily without the use of nuts, bolts, or clips. The heavy-duty frame includes 14-gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers and double-riveted horizontal beams on every level, which provide added support and stability and adjust in 1" increments. The double rivet button stud construction securely locks perimeter beams into the corner posts, forming a stable joint that eliminates back and side sway. Each adjustable shelf is fitted with Duradeck decking, a smooth, non-porous surface that wipes clean easily, making it suitable for healthcare and food service applications. The system supports up to 800 lbs. per level when evenly distributed and allows four-sided access to stored items for maximum flexibility.
