The 48"W x 12"D x 72"H SC Preferred® standard-duty boltless shelving starter unit is constructed from durable roll-formed steel with a chip-resistant gray enamel finish, featuring a heavy-duty frame with 14-gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers and double-riveted horizontal beams on every level for added support and stability. This 5-shelf unit includes double rivet button stud construction that securely locks perimeter beams into corner posts, forming a stable joint to eliminate back and side sway, with beams adjustable in 1" increments to accommodate various storage needs. Each adjustable shelf is equipped with Duradeck non-porous decking that wipes clean easily, making it suitable for healthcare and food service settings. The shelves support up to 800 lbs. per level when weight is evenly distributed, and the open design provides four-sided access to stored items for maximum flexibility. The shelving assembles easily without the use of nuts, bolts, or clips and can be extended with add-on units to expand storage capacity.
