The ATOMIC™ 20V Max 4.5 in. angle grinder (battery and charger sold separately) is designed for high-powered applications in tight spaces, delivering up to 760 MWO and 11,000 RPM (no-load) with a brushless motor for demanding tasks. It features the DEWALT® anti-rotation system that quickly stops the wheel when a pinch, stall, or bind-up event is detected to reduce reactionary torque. The ergonomic design includes a slim, smaller gripping diameter for access into ultra tight spaces, and a clip-on guard that allows fast conversion from a Type B guard to a Type A guard. Wheel changes are simplified with a spindle lock, eliminating the need for multiple wrenches. The tool incorporates a lock-off paddle switch with no-lock on feature and a forward exhaust system to direct air away from the user and help prevent motor overheating. It is Tool Connect™ Chip Ready™ for pairing with the Tool Connect™ chip and app, enabling jobsite asset management and tool location tracking. The electronic brake is designed to stop the wheel within 1.25 seconds after trigger release, enhancing control. Included in the package are one DCG402 ATOMIC™ 20V Max 4.5 in. angle grinder, one Type B guard with Type A clip-on guard, one Type 1 cutting wheel, and one wrench.
