The recessed mounted 4C horizontal mailboxes, manufactured by Salsbury Industries to USPS-STD-4C specifications, are U.S.P.S. approved and suitable for apartments, commercial buildings, and residential developments, making them ideal for new construction and major renovations. These units, constructed of heavy-duty aluminum with stainless steel hardware, are designed for indoor or outdoor use. The doors feature heavy-duty cam locks with dust and rain shields and come with three keys each. Door dimensions vary by type: MB1 doors measure 3-1/4" H x 13-1/4" W, MB2 doors 6-3/4" H x 13-1/4" W, MB3 doors 10-1/4" H x 13-1/4" W, and MB4 doors 13-3/4" H x 13-1/4" W. To meet USPS standard 4C requirements, there must be a minimum of one parcel locker at least 15" high for every five tenant compartments; once this ratio is satisfied, smaller parcel lockers may be added. The outgoing mail compartment includes a USPS master lock access door installed by USPS for carrier access, which is not used for mail distribution, and features a 10-3/4" W x 3/4" H mail slot with a weather protection hood. The mailbox units include factory-installed 3/4" W x 1/4" D trim, a solid rear cover, and a 4C horizontal mailbox connector kit with hardware for connecting multiple recessed units.
