The recessed mounted 4C horizontal mailboxes are U.S.P.S. approved and manufactured by Salsbury Industries to USPS-STD-4C specifications, making them ideal for apartments, commercial buildings, and residential developments, and required for new construction and major renovations. Suitable for indoor or outdoor use, they are constructed of heavy-duty aluminum with stainless steel hardware. Doors include a heavy-duty cam lock with a dust/rain shield and come with three keys. Door sizes vary with MB1 measuring 3-1/4" H x 13-1/4" W, MB2 at 6-3/4" H x 13-1/4" W, MB3 at 10-1/4" H x 13-1/4" W, and MB4 at 13-3/4" H x 13-1/4" W. U.S.P.S. standard 4C requires at least one parcel locker for every five tenant compartments, with parcel lockers being a minimum of 15" high to meet the 1:5 ratio; once this ratio is satisfied, smaller parcel lockers may also be added. The outgoing mail compartment includes a U.S.P.S. master lock access carrier door (lock installed by the U.S.P.S.) that cannot be used for mail distribution, a 10-3/4" W x 3/4" H mail slot, and a weather protection hood. The package includes factory-installed 3/4" W x 1/4" D trim and a solid rear cover, as well as a 4C horizontal mailbox connector kit with hardware to easily connect multiple recessed-mounted units. ADA height-compliant units are available that meet ADA compliance guidelines. Salsbury Industries is ISO 9001:2015 certified and has been manufacturing since 1936.
