Recessed mounted 4C horizontal mailboxes are U.S.P.S. approved and manufactured by Salsbury Industries to USPS-STD-4C specifications, making them ideal for apartments, commercial buildings, and residential developments, as well as required for new construction and major renovations. These units are suitable for indoor or outdoor use and are constructed of heavy-duty aluminum with stainless steel hardware. The doors include a heavy-duty cam lock with a dust/rain shield and come with 3 keys. MB1 doors measure 3-1/4" H x 13-1/4" W, MB2 doors are 6-3/4" H x 13-1/4" W, MB3 doors are 10-1/4" H x 13-1/4" W, and MB4 doors are 13-3/4" H x 13-1/4" W. According to U.S.P.S. standard 4C, there must be a minimum of one parcel locker for every five tenant compartments, with parcel lockers measuring at least 15" H to meet the 1:5 ratio; once this ratio is fulfilled, smaller parcel lockers may be added. The outgoing mail compartment and carrier access door feature the U.S.P.S. master lock access door (lock installed by the U.S.P.S.) and cannot be used for mail distribution. The outgoing mail compartment also includes a 10-3/4" W x 3/4" H mail slot with a weather protection hood. The mailbox units include factory-installed 3/4" W x 1/4" D trim and a solid rear cover, as well as a 4C horizontal mailbox connector kit (hardware included) to easily connect multiple recessed mounted 4C horizontal mailbox units.
