The Nerp Dual Speed series of electric chain hoists from Harrington features a push/pull trolley with an under-the-cover variable frequency drive, providing exceptional load control and field-adjustable two speeds with up to a 12:1 speed ratio. Key features include "The Guardian": Smart Brake Technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that does not release unless the motor is energized, a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, and a variable frequency drive that allows for speed adjustability and includes integral hour counting functionality to record and display the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. The design incorporates a 5-pocket load sheave to reduce vibration and extend chain life, a fan-cooled motor for cooler operation, and low profile upper and lower limit switches along with plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built to be environmentally friendly while meeting RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is supplied with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
