The Nerp series of electric chain hoists from Harrington were designed using the latest technology and incorporating a push/pull trolley, resulting in high-quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists that provide reliable performance in both routine situations and severe working environments. Features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, a current-driven electromagnetic brake that does not release unless the motor is energized, grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, and a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. The design includes a 5-pocket load sheave to reduce vibration and extend chain life, a cooler motor and brake attributed to the fan-cooled motor, low profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. Hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built environmentally friendly to meet RoHS requirements, and exceed ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is provided with a test certificate verifying that the hoist has been factory load tested to 125% of rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
