The NERP series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are designed with the latest technology, featuring a push/pull trolley for high quality, low headroom performance suitable for both routine and severe working environments. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized, grade 80 nickel plated load chain, a count hour meter to record and display the number of lowering starts and hoist on time, and a 5 pocket load sheave designed to reduce vibration and extend chain life. The cooler motor and brake are attributed to a fan-cooled motor, while low profile upper and lower limit switches, along with plug-in pendant and power supply cords, enhance usability. Hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built environmentally friendly to meet RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is supplied with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
