The Nerm series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are engineered with advanced technology and include a motorized trolley, resulting in high-quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists and trolleys designed for reliable performance in both routine and severe working environments. The hoists feature "The Guardian," smart brake technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged until the motor is energized. Additional attributes include a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, a count hour meter that tracks and displays lowering starts and hoist operating time, a five-pocket load sheave that minimizes vibration and extends chain life, and a fan-cooled motor that contributes to a cooler motor and brake. The hoists also include low-profile upper and lower limit switches, as well as plug-in pendant and power supply cords. They are UL listed to UL 1340, comply with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. The trolley is equipped with a robust pull-rotor brake, drop stops, rubber bumpers, and side guide rollers to facilitate smoother trolley motion and reduce beam wear. Each hoist comes with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in compliance with ASME B30.16.
