The NER series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are engineered with advanced technology to deliver high quality, low headroom, and full-featured performance in both routine and severe working environments. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged unless the motor is energized, and a grade 80 nickel plated load chain. The hoists also come equipped with a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time, a five-pocket load sheave designed to reduce vibration and extend chain life, and a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled motor. Additional attributes include low profile upper and lower limit switches and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built to meet RoHS environmental standards, and exceed ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is provided with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
