The Nerp series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are engineered with advanced technology and feature a push/pull trolley, offering high quality, low headroom, and full-featured performance suitable for daily use in both routine and severe working environments. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged until the motor is energized, along with a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, a count hour meter that records and displays lowering starts and hoist operation time, and a 5-pocket load sheave designed to reduce vibration and prolong chain life. The hoists are equipped with a cooler motor and brake, attributed to the fan-cooled motor, low profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. Additionally, these hoists are UL listed to UL 1340 and are built to meet RoHS requirements while exceeding the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is supplied with a test certificate confirming factory load testing at 125% of rated capacity, in compliance with ASME B30.16.
