The Nerm series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are designed with advanced technology and feature a motorized trolley, delivering high-quality performance in both routine and severe working environments. The hoist includes "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which features a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized. It also incorporates a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, a count hour meter to record and display the number of lowering starts and hoist on time, a five-pocket load sheave to reduce vibration and extend chain life, and a fan-cooled motor that contributes to cooler motor and brake temperatures. The design includes low-profile upper and lower limit switches and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. Additionally, the hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, compliant with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Trolley features comprise a highly durable pull-rotor brake, drop stops, rubber bumpers, and side guide rollers to enhance trolley motion and minimize beam wear. Each hoist comes with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
