The NER series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are engineered with advanced technology, resulting in high-quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists that ensure reliable daily performance in both routine and severe working conditions. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology— a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged unless the motor is energized— grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, and a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist-on time. The design incorporates a 5-pocket load sheave to reduce vibration and extend chain life, alongside a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled motor, as well as low-profile upper and lower limit switches. The hoists come with plug-in pendant and power supply cords. They are UL listed to UL 1340, built to be environmentally friendly, meeting RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. All hoists are supplied with a test certificate verifying that the hoist has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
