The NER Dual Speed series of electric chain hoists from Harrington features an under-the-cover variable frequency drive that provides exceptional load control with field-adjustable two speeds, achieving up to a 12:1 speed ratio. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged until the motor is energized, and grade 80 nickel-plated load chain. The variable frequency drive allows for speed adjustability and includes an integral hour counter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist operating time. Additionally, the hoists are equipped with a 5-pocket load sheave designed to reduce vibration and prolong chain life, a cooler motor and brake facilitated by a fan-cooled motor, low-profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, environmentally friendly in compliance with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist comes with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
