The Nerp series of electric chain hoists from Harrington incorporate advanced technology and a push/pull trolley, resulting in high-quality, low headroom hoists designed for both routine and severe working environments. Key features include "The Guardian," a smart brake technology utilizing a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged until the motor is energized; grade 80 nickel-plated load chain; a count hour meter that logs lowering starts and hoist operating time; a five-pocket load sheave that minimizes vibration and extends chain life; a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled design; low-profile upper and lower limit switches; and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, constructed to be environmentally friendly in compliance with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is supplied with a test certificate confirming that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
