The NER Dual Speed series of electric chain hoists from Harrington features an under-the-cover variable frequency drive that provides impressive load control and field-adjustable two speeds with a speed ratio of up to 12:1. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized, as well as grade 80 nickel-plated load chain for enhanced durability. The variable frequency drive enables speed adjustability and includes an integral count hour functionality that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. Additional specifications include a 5-pocket load sheave designed to reduce vibration and extend chain life, a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled design, low-profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built to be environmentally friendly in compliance with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist comes with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
