The Nerm Dual Speed series of electric chain hoists from Harrington features a motorized trolley equipped with an under-the-cover variable frequency drive hoist, providing exceptional load control and field adjustable two speeds with up to a 12:1 speed ratio. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, a current driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged unless the motor is energized, a grade 80 nickel plated load chain, and a variable frequency drive that allows for speed adjustability while also offering integral hour counting functionality that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. The design includes a five-pocket load sheave to minimize vibration and extend chain life, as well as a fan-cooled motor that contributes to cooler motor and brake operation. Additional specifications encompass low profile upper and lower limit switches, plug-in pendant and power supply cords, and a trolley equipped with durable pull-rotor brakes, drop stops, rubber bumpers, and side guide rollers for enhanced trolley motion and reduced beam wear. All hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, environmentally friendly in compliance with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is supplied with a test certificate confirming that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity in accordance with ASME B30.16.
